IGC changes the forecast of world soybean production for 2017
The International Grains Council (IGC) in its report changed the previous forecast for soybean production. As of today, world soybean production in 2017 will increase by 18 million tons to 334 million tons. This is 2 million tons less than in November.
Forecast indicators for soybean trade in 2016/2017 MY will be 137 million tons, which is 3 million tons more than in 2015/2016 MY (134 million tons).
Transitional stocks compared to 2015/2016 MY will increase by 1 million tons and will amount to 35 million tons.
It will be recalled that the largest soybean producers in the world are the United States, Brazil, Argentina and China.
