APG “Pan Kurchak” is an example of socially responsible business
For the fifth year in a row, in Volyn, the inpatient departments of the territorial centers of social services, where lonely elderly and disabled people live, as well as charity homes, receive meat and sausage products free of charge. In total, 8 institutions (5 inpatient departments, 3 houses of charity of religious communities) have such assistance in five districts of the region: Turiysky, Lokachynsky, Gorokhivsky, Lutsk, Rozhyschensky. This year they were joined by another, already 9 institutions. This is the house of mercy “Vifezida” in Novovolynsk. Currently, 18 wards live there. These are frail grandmothers who can’t do without help. 10 of them are chained to the bed. And because the children refused them, the local religious community took care of the elderly.
“The benefactor was approached not by chance, because he supports the shelter of our religious community in Maryanivka, Gorokhiv district,” said Volodymyr Hrytsak, senior presbyter of the Holy Trinity Church in Novovolynsk. – We have nowhere else to wait for help, because everything has become more expensive, so people began to live poorer. That’s why we are very grateful for the chicken and sausage. This is a valuable help, because it is possible to prepare delicious homemade meat dishes for the grandmothers during the month. Suitable for the elderly and dietary sausages and sausage. Patronage support is very significant. ”
Serhiy Martyniak launched an initiative to help social institutions long before he became a member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in 2010. Now this practice is continued by the European Vector Charitable Foundation, whose patron is he and the enterprises of APG “Pan Kurchak”, said the head of the foundation Halyna Vedrych.
In total, one and a half hundred lonely elderly and disabled people live in the institutions under the patronage of Serhiy Martyniak. All of them consume daily natural products of local production from APG “Pan Kurchak”. In total, since 2010, Gubin Poultry Complex has shipped more than 10,000 kilograms of chicken to inpatient departments and orphanages, and sausage producer VMP Ltd. has shipped more than 3,000 kilograms of its products.
